A Brown County State Park Elopement
“I love the calmness and the peace that comes from knowing that we are now one. It feels so different from dating, and I just feel our rhythms becoming the same rhythm, and it’s just beautiful.” -Krista
Eloping is just RIGHT for some couples and I know that it totally was for these two! I’m so happy for them and I’m so grateful to have been involved in their story! Thank you, Krista & Jon, for sharing your evening with me and congratulations!!
“We met online and talked for a month before we ever met in person. It was just so crazy to me that I would want to spend all my time talking to someone I hadn’t even met, and then when we finally did it felt like I already knew him. In the beginning, I was all anticipation and giddiness, I couldn’t wait to hear from him and see him all the time. It was very distracting actually! There was just nothing else that I could think about but being with him.
From the moment we shared ‘I love you’s I knew that I wanted to marry him. We were camping and had been hiking and cooking together all weekend and it just felt like something had changed. One afternoon we walked down to the river to just sit and watch and a swarm of butterflies surrounded us. It was such a divine moment that we just stared into each other’s eyes and things just felt so solidified and right.” -Krista

“He is such a kind and caring man, sometimes it just takes my breath away. He cares about all living creatures, and his gentleness in a world of such brashness is so beautiful to witness.” -Krista
“One morning we just decided, out of the blue, to drive into New York City and spend the day exploring. I’m not the most spontaneous person but it just felt so natural with him. It ended up being such a fun day exploring and wandering the city together.” -Krista
