A Bohemian Cooper Hotel Wedding
It was an abnormally cold March day with sprinkles and constant threat of storms attempting to spoil this Cooper Hotel wedding. Nevertheless, Nikki and Christian’s day was filled with fun and laughter. Rainy weather wasn’t going to keep this couple down! These two are so unique and they definitely know how to throw a party. They love adventure and living an active life, which, for them, involves lots of surfing — they even included an analogy about surfing and marriage into their ceremony! Plus their first date was basically a surfing trip to Costa Rica. Who else can say that? As you will see from the photos, these two (and their whole guest list) are filled with personality. Nikki and Christian couldn’t conform to a typical lifestyle even if they tried.
Nikki was the bohemian goddess from my dreams. Her floral wedding dress, lavender bouquet, and flower crown made for such a lovely look! Her beach waves were so fitting for this surfer girl!
Emotional Wedding Moments
The speech from Nikki’s dad had everyone in tears. As we gathered in the Berkley room of the Cooper Hotel, listening to the rain pouring down outside, we hung on his every word. There were bits of funny thrown in there (I mean these folks can’t resist a little fun) but ultimately, it was a tear jerker.

“My absolute favorite quality of his is how adventurous he is. He’s not afraid of anything and he lives life to the extreme. It is so much fun to be with someone that is up for anything and will love doing whatever type of adventure we take together, big or small.
Christian is a great guy, an all-around gentleman with a huge heart and he never gets enough credit for it. He’s fun, spontaneous, adventurous and extremely loving. But if I have to give one reason that I want to marry him it would be that everything he does starts with his love for God and because of that, I have never experienced a love so strong, passionate and caring. His ability to be understanding and forgiving blows me away and I am so grateful for the light that he brings to our relationship.
The thing about Christian is that he is always there for people, despite the things they say about him and he always treats them with grace no matter what.
I would like Christian to know that I love and adore him more than he’ll ever know. I see him as a treasure and I am so grateful to have uncovered such a strong, loving and endearing man. I’m lucky to know him, I’m lucky to love him, I’m entirely blessed to be with him, and I’m incredibly honored to marry him.” -Nikki
“One of the many reasons I wanted to marry her is her zest for living and loving life. She has a contagious adventurous spirit that cherishes relationships and building memories.
I’ve learned a lot about Nikki’s drive, determination, and grit, as well as, her strong competitive nature. One of her most important qualities is the integrity of her word. I cherish the way she loves God and is interested in embarking on this journey of life with me as Christ as our guiding light.
I want Nikki to know that she is my favorite, and she’s the most important person to me for the rest of my life.” -Christian
